Rochester, NY (September 17, 2025) – A 60-year-old woman sustained serious injuries in a crash Monday night at the intersection of State Route 104 and Carter Street in Rochester. The incident occurred around 9 p.m., September 15th, 2025, when a 59-year-old driver attempted to speed through a red light while heading west on State Route 104.
The driver collided with another vehicle heading north on Carter Street that had a green light, according to Capt. Adam Radens of the Rochester Police Department. The woman’s lower body sustained injuries in the crash, and she was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital for further treatment.
The driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash was also hospitalized with minor injuries. No other injuries were reported.
The driver of the vehicle that ran the red light was ticketed for the incident. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
