Syracuse, NY (July 11, 2025) – A man was killed Friday afternoon in an industrial accident when he was run over by an asphalt paving roller in a parking lot.
The incident occurred around 4:53 p.m. at 7421 Oswego Road, where a paving company was conducting asphalt work. According to the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office, the accident involved a double drum ride-on roller. The man was run over by the roller and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the roller is cooperating with the authorities, and the investigation is being treated as an accident.
