Town of Russia, NY (May 10, 2025) – One person is dead following a head-on collision between a passenger car and a UTV in the town of Russia late Saturday night, according to the New York State Police.
The crash occurred at around 10:53 p.m. near 749 Rose Valley Road. When troopers arrived on scene, they found the UTV operator deceased. The driver of the car was transported to Wynn Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
State Police have not released the identity of the victim, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation. Officials confirmed that the Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Collision Reconstruction Unit are handling the case.
