State Police have identified the deceased in Thursday’s fatal crash on Route 20 as Barbara A. Bryant, 63, of Schenevus, NY. The crash occurred around 11:39 a.m. on October 2, 2025, when a 2007 BMW sedan, traveling south on McGuire School Road, failed to stop completely while turning left onto Route 20 and collided with Bryant’s westbound 2014 Dodge Caravan.

Bryant was pronounced dead at Ellis Hospital. Her passenger, Robert Gaudino, 36, of Burlington Flats, was transported to Albany Medical Center and is in stable condition.

The 17-year-old driver of the BMW, along with passenger Kodah Schepisi, 16, of Albany, and a dog, were also taken to Albany Medical Center. Both occupants are stable, though one passenger sustained an eye injury that may result in permanent vision loss. The 17-year-old driver was issued a traffic citation for failing to stop at a stop sign.

The investigation remains ongoing.

Duanesburg, NY (October 3, 2025) – A fatal motor vehicle crash occurred Thursday morning, 2nd October, 2025, on State Route 20 in the town of Duanesburg, prompting an emergency response from State Police and local medical teams.

According to authorities, a 2007 BMW sedan traveling south on McGuire School Road failed to stop completely while turning left onto Route 20. The BMW collided with a westbound 2014 Dodge Caravan.

The driver of the Dodge Caravan was transported to Ellis Hospital, where they were pronounced deceased. The identity of the victim is being withheld pending family notification.

The driver and two passengers in the BMW, along with a passenger in the Dodge, were taken to Albany Medical Center for treatment. Their current conditions have not been released.

State Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
