Brighton, NY (November 10, 2025) – At least 17 vehicles were involved in a multi-car crash Monday morning on the Interstate 390 North Exit 16A off-ramp to West Henrietta Road and Mount Hope Avenue, marking one of the first major incidents of the season’s initial snowfall.
The crash occurred around 7:15 a.m. on 10th Nov, 2025, during icy and snowy conditions that made driving treacherous throughout the Rochester area. According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, all reported injuries were minor, and emergency crews responded quickly to assist drivers and clear the ramp.
By 9:50 a.m., Deputy David Marcucci confirmed the ramp had been fully reopened to traffic. Authorities attributed the crash to weather-related factors and urged drivers to use caution as winter conditions take hold.
Multi-Vehicle Pileups During Winter Weather
Even in winter weather, drivers are required to adjust their speed and maintain safe following distances. Under New York law, motorists can still be held partially liable if they fail to drive safely for road conditions, even when snow or ice is present.
Victims of multi-vehicle crashes often face challenges in determining who is at fault, especially in chain-reaction collisions. An experienced New York multi-vehicle crash attorney can help reconstruct the crash, deal with insurers, and pursue claims for medical costs, lost wages, and vehicle damage.
