19 Injured, 14 Hospitalized After Two MTA Buses Collide

Queens, NY (October 14, 2025) – Nineteen people were injured Monday morning when two MTA Q27 buses collided in Flushing, Queens, during the stormy commute at around 8:30 a.m., 13th October, 2025.

According to reports, a white bus rear-ended a blue bus near Sanford Avenue and Bowne Street. The impact pushed the blue bus forward nearly the length of one bus, damaging its left rear corner, while the white bus diverted into the oncoming traffic lane.

Of those injured, 14 were transported to local hospitals for treatment, including the bus driver. The remaining passengers were treated at the scene. Authorities reported no criminality is suspected, and initial investigations suggest weather conditions may have contributed.

The MTA implemented detours for Q13, Q26, Q27, and Q65 buses in the area while crews cleared the scene and assessed damage.
