Saratoga Springs, NY (October 1, 2025) – Two people were injured in a collision involving a tractor-trailer and a pickup truck on Route 9 near East West Road, close to Saratoga Spa State Park.
The crash occurred around 6:35 a.m. Tuesday, 30th September, 2025, when the southbound tractor-trailer struck a parked pickup truck that had stopped on the shoulder due to mechanical issues. The pickup truck driver sustained serious injuries and was transported to Albany Medical Center. The tractor-trailer driver was taken to Saratoga Hospital for evaluation.
Route 9 southbound at East West Road and Crescent Avenue was closed for several hours while emergency responders and investigators worked at the scene. The roadway reopened around 5 p.m.
Police from the Saratoga Springs Traffic Safety Unit and the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstruction Team are investigating the cause of the crash.
