Chester, NY – 23-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed After Striking Delivery Van on Ridgeway Ave

Rochester, NY (October 19, 2025) – A 23-year-old man tragically died Saturday night following a motorcycle crash on Rochester’s northwest side, according to the Rochester Police Department.

Officers were called to the intersection of Mount Read Boulevard and Ridgeway Avenue shortly before 8:50 p.m. for reports of a serious collision. Upon arrival, police found the motorcyclist suffering from severe injuries. Despite emergency efforts, he later succumbed to his injuries.

Investigators determined that the motorcyclist had passed a vehicle stopped at a red light before colliding with a delivery van in the intersection. Ridgeway Avenue was closed for several hours but has since reopened.

The identity of the victim has not yet been released pending notification of family members. The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
