Somers, NY (September 19, 2025) – A school bus crash involving injuries blocked a portion of eastbound Route 202 near Old Croton Falls Road Thursday afternoon. The incident occurred around 5:58 p.m., September 18th, 2025, and involved a head-on collision between a Somers school bus and a black SUV.
Three students riding the bus and the driver of the SUV sustained minor injuries. All were transported to nearby hospitals for evaluation and treatment.
Emergency responders from Somers Fire Department, Westchester EMS, New York State Police, Westchester County Police, and Somers Police arrived at the scene to provide medical care, secure the area, and assist with traffic control.
The crash temporarily blocked the right shoulder and caused delays along Route 202 while authorities cleared the scene and investigated the incident. The cause of the collision is still under review.
