Rochester, NY (September 17, 2025) – A 39-year-old man was injured on Tuesday afternoon after his motorcycle crashed while trying to avoid a collision with a school bus at Lake Avenue and Glenwood Avenue in Rochester.
The crash occurred just before 5 p.m.,16th September 2025, when the motorcyclist was heading south on Lake Avenue. Rochester Police said that as the bus made a turn at the intersection, the motorcyclist had to swerve out of his lane to avoid hitting it. In the process, he lost control of the motorcycle and struck a curb and a street sign.
The rider was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. An investigation by the Rochester Police Department is underway, though it remains unclear if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.
