Catskill, NY (September 14, 2025) – A 66-year-old Coxsackie man died Sunday night following a fatal motorcycle crash involving a deer on Route 23A in Catskill. The Greene County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident that occurred near Underhill Road on September 14.

Deputies received a 911 call for the motorcycle crash around 6:54 p.m. The investigation determined the man was riding a 2020 Harley Davidson motorcycle eastbound on Route 23A. A deer reportedly jumped into the road, causing the collision.

Emergency medical services performed life-saving measures at the scene. The man was air-lifted to Albany Medical Center but later succumbed to his injuries.
