Stony Point, NY (October 7, 2025) – Corey Gardner, 29, of Glen Spey, NY, was killed Sunday afternoon in a high-speed collision on the Palisades Parkway South in the town of Stony Point.
New York State Police reported that the crash occurred around 3:16 p.m. near Exit 17. Gardner, the sole occupant of a 2022 BMW, attempted to pass a 2022 Jeep Compass entering the visitor center on-ramp. Upon re-entering the travel lane, the BMW struck the front driver’s side of the Jeep, causing Gardner to lose control. The BMW left the western side of the roadway and collided with multiple trees.
The 32-year-old female driver of the Jeep and her passenger were not injured.
