Delhi, NY (July 11, 2025) – A head-on collision occurred Friday afternoon on State Highway 28 near Glen Burnie Road in the town of Delhi, resulting in one fatality and serious injuries to an off-duty New York State Trooper.
At approximately 4:19 p.m., 71-year-old Roger Hadley of Andes, NY, was driving a pick-up truck southbound when he crossed into oncoming traffic. The truck collided head-on with an SUV traveling northbound. Hadley was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the SUV, Trooper Anna Aulino, was off-duty and on her way home after completing her shift. She sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Albany Medical Center, where her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. Trooper Aulino, a graduate of the 2023 New York State Police Academy, is assigned to Troop C.
The State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) responded to the scene to conduct a full investigation, and the Office of the Attorney General has been notified.
The investigation is ongoing.
