Phelps, NY - Driver Killed in Tractor-Trailer Rollover on NY Thruway

Phelps, NY (August 13, 2025) – A 40-year-old man was killed in a tractor-trailer rollover on the westbound New York State Thruway in Phelps, Ontario County. The crash occurred near mile marker 332.2.

According to Trooper Lynnea Crane, the driver drifted off the highway and traveled along the guardrail on the right shoulder before the tractor-trailer overturned onto its side on a sloped embankment.

Authorities responded quickly to the scene and confirmed the driver’s death. The cause of the crash is under investigation by the New York State Police.
