Hudson, NY (August 12, 2025) – A serious collision between an electric bicycle and a pickup truck occurred Tuesday morning at the intersection of North 1st Street and Warren Street in the City of Hudson. The incident, reported around 11:49 a.m., involved a pickup truck traveling southbound on North 1st Street. After stopping at the intersection with Warren Street, the driver entered the intersection and was struck by the e-bike.
The e-bike rider, who was not wearing a helmet at the time, was found lying unconscious in the roadway after the collision. Emergency personnel responded swiftly, and the rider regained semi-consciousness at the scene. The rider sustained a major head injury and was transported by Greenport Rescue Squad to a nearby helipad, where he was airlifted to Albany Medical Center for emergency treatment.
The rider’s condition is currently unknown, and an investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing.
