Adams Center, NY (September 12, 2025) – One person was killed Wednesday night, 10th September, 2025 in a single-vehicle crash on Route 177 in Adams Center, just after 11:00 p.m.
According to New York State Police, a 2011 Ford Expedition was traveling westbound when it exited the roadway, struck a culvert, and overturned multiple times. The vehicle then hit a mailbox and caught fire. The operator, the sole occupant, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Emergency responders secured the area while the vehicle was removed and the fire was extinguished. Authorities have not yet released the identity of the victim.
State police are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash, including whether speed, road conditions, or other factors contributed. Traffic was temporarily disrupted while the scene was cleared.
