Walton, NY (September 27, 2025) – Four individuals were airlifted to local hospitals after a utility terrain vehicle (UTV) crashed into a tree in Delaware County on Friday afternoon.
The crash occurred around 3:30 p.m. on 26th September, 2025, in a remote area of Delaware County, according to Walton Fire officials. Six people were in the UTV when it struck the tree, and none of the occupants were wearing helmets at the time of the incident.
Due to the difficult terrain, emergency crews had a challenging time accessing the scene. The first patient was extracted at 4:18 p.m., and the last was brought out at 5:01 p.m. Four individuals were flown by helicopter to local hospitals for treatment, while one was transported by ambulance. The sixth person had minor injuries and did not require further evaluation.
