Taylor Township, PA (October 23, 2025) – A single-vehicle crash in Taylor Township claimed the life of 29-year-old Matthew Manna of Duncansville on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Blair County Coroner’s Office.

Authorities reported that the crash occurred shortly before 1:30 p.m. on 22nd October, 2025, on Cross Cove Road, when Manna’s vehicle struck a utility pole and he was ejected from the vehicle upon impact. Emergency crews and the coroner’s office responded promptly to the scene, but Manna was pronounced dead from blunt force injuries sustained in the crash.

The roadway was temporarily closed following the accident as investigators examined the scene. Manna was the sole occupant of the vehicle at the time of the crash, officials confirmed.

The Pennsylvania State Police are leading the ongoing investigation to determine the circumstances that led to the fatal collision.

Single-Vehicle Crashes and Liability in Pennsylvania

Even in single-vehicle crashes, various factors, such as roadway hazards, vehicle defects, or mechanical failures, can contribute to a driver losing control. In such cases, victims’ families may have the right to seek compensation through insurance claims or wrongful death actions if negligence or unsafe conditions played a role. A Pennsylvania personal injury lawyer can investigate all potential causes and ensure that the victim’s loved ones receive the justice and support they deserve.
