Fatal Motorcycle accident on Central Ave in Colonie

Colonie, NY (August 22, 2025) – A motorcyclist was killed Friday night after colliding with a car on Central Avenue near Fox Avenue in Colonie. The crash occurred around 11:00 p.m. and prompted an immediate response from Colonie Police, Colonie EMS, and the Stanford Heights Fire Department

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities confirmed that the driver of the car involved remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

Colonie Police stated that the identity of the motorcyclist will not be released until next of kin are notified. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
