West Monroe, NY - Motorcyclist Killed in Crash with Hay Wagon on Route 11

West Monroe, NY (August 6, 2025) – A motorcyclist was killed Wednesday afternoon when he crashed into a hay wagon in Oswego County. The incident occurred at approximately 3:24 p.m. on Route 11 in West Monroe.

The motorcyclist, identified as 34-year-old James R. Clark of Constantia, was traveling south on a 2006 Suzuki motorcycle when he struck the back of a hay wagon being pulled by a 2015 Chevrolet pickup truck. The truck, also traveling south, was slowing to make a left turn into a driveway when the collision occurred. The hay wagon was marked with a slow-moving vehicle triangle.

Clark was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck, 73-year-old Robert D. Esker of West Monroe, was not injured in the crash.

State Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the collision, and further details will be released as the investigation progresses.
