Update on Fatal Collision – September 30, 2025
Police have released the name of the motorcyclist killed earlier this week after colliding with a minivan on Ainsley Drive. The victim has been identified as William Pierce, 49, of Syracuse, according to Syracuse Police spokesperson Kieran Coffey.
Syracuse, NY (September 30, 2025) – A motorcyclist was killed Monday morning after colliding with a minivan on the 200 block of Ainsley Drive in Syracuse.
According to Syracuse Police, the crash occurred around 7:01 a.m., 29th September 2025. Both the motorcycle and minivan were traveling east when the motorcyclist struck the left side of the minivan and was ejected. He was transported to Upstate University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene to assess the vehicles and manage traffic. No other injuries have been reported. Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash, reviewing vehicle positions, witness statements, and traffic conditions.
