Multi-Vehicle Crash Causes Major Delays on I-81

Grantville, PA (October 30, 2025) – A multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 81 northbound caused significant traffic delays Thursday afternoon near Exit 80 in Dauphin County, according to officials.

Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after the incident was reported. Live traffic cameras from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation showed multiple disabled vehicles and a police cruiser blocking both the left and right lanes of the highway’s exit area.

Northbound traffic was restricted to the middle lane, resulting in a backup stretching nearly eight miles at one point. The roadway has since been cleared, and traffic has returned to normal conditions.

Authorities have not confirmed how many vehicles were involved or whether any injuries occurred.

Your Rights After a Multi-Vehicle Accident in Pennsylvania

Highway pileups and multi-vehicle collisions often raise questions about fault and insurance coverage. Under Pennsylvania law, victims injured in these crashes may pursue compensation for medical bills, property damage, and lost wages, depending on their level of injury and type of insurance coverage.

Because liability can involve multiple drivers, working with a Pennsylvania vehicle accident lawyer can help ensure a fair investigation and protect your right to full compensation.
