Shirley, NY (September 28, 2025) – Suffolk County Police arrested a Bay Shore man after he fled the scene of a multi-vehicle crash on Saturday afternoon, 27th September, 2025, in Shirley.
Authorities reported that Walter Goya Trujillo, driving a 2012 Jeep, struck several vehicles in stopped traffic on the northbound lanes of William Floyd Parkway near Montauk Highway around 2:40 p.m., causing a chain reaction crash.
Trujillo fled the scene on foot but was apprehended by officers shortly afterward. Three drivers, including Trujillo, were transported to nearby hospitals with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
Trujillo was charged with leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash with injuries and leaving the scene of a collision with property damage. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
