One Hospitalized after Car Accident

Fordham Manor, NY (October 24, 2025) – A car accident in Fordham Manor on Thursday afternoon left one person hospitalized. According to FDNY/EMS, the crash occurred around 2:12 p.m. on 23rd October, 2025, near Grand Concourse and East 187th Street, close to the historical Loews Paradise Cinema.

Emergency responders arrived promptly at the scene, where shattered glass and car parts were scattered across the intersection. The hospitalized individual was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital, but their condition remains unknown.

While the NYPD has not confirmed details, a bystander suggested that the white vehicle was rear-ended by another dark-colored vehicle while entering Grand Concourse from East 187th Street. Witnesses said the white vehicle mounted a bollard and sustained substantial damage to its rear, with airbags deployed.

Authorities have stated that they may not be involving the Collision Investigation Squad (CIS), indicating that the crash may not be considered serious enough for an in-depth investigation at this time. The incident remains under investigation.
