Westerlo, NY (October 13, 2025) – A 30-year-old driver was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries following a crash on Saturday night, October 11th, 2025, in Westerlo. The accident occurred around 10:30 p.m. when the driver lost control of their vehicle on Route 32 and collided with a tree before crashing into the front porch of a home.
Deputies from the Albany County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and found the driver trapped inside the vehicle. The Westerlo Fire Department extricated the driver, and they were promptly transported to Albany Medical Center for treatment.
During the investigation, it was discovered that the car had left the roadway, hit a tree, and had its engine torn out before striking the porch. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries to any residents inside the home.
