Buffalo, NY (September 21, 2025) – A Buffalo Police officer and a civilian were injured in a crash Saturday night in the Black Rock neighborhood of Buffalo. The collision occurred at the intersection of Tonawanda Street and Hertel Avenue shortly after 9 p.m., September 20th, 2025.
Emergency medical personnel responded quickly to assess and treat the injured. The D-District officer sustained non-life-threatening injuries, while the civilian driver of an SUV had minor injuries. Both were evaluated at the scene before receiving further instructions from medical staff.
The SUV came to rest on its side against a building at the intersection following the collision, causing significant property damage.
The Buffalo Police Accident Investigation Unit has been notified and is reviewing the incident to determine the cause.
