Rochester, NY (June 11, 2025) – A gunpoint carjacking resulted in a high-speed chase and a crash on Wednesday afternoon, with two uninvolved vehicles being struck in the process.
According to the Rochester Police Department, officers observed a vehicle involved in the carjacking after 4 p.m. in the Clinton area. When police attempted to stop the vehicle, the suspect fled, leading to a chase that ended at the intersection of Joseph Avenue and Weyl Street. The suspect vehicle, reportedly swerving on Joseph Avenue, collided with two other cars.
Two people were transported to the hospital following the crash, but both are expected to recover. Three suspects were taken into custody, and the investigation remains ongoing.
