School Bus Involved in Crash

Schuyler, NY (October 1, 2025) – A minor collision occurred on Route 5 at Carder Lane involving a school bus transporting Frankfort-Schuyler Elementary School students.

The bus had stopped to let students off when a vehicle behind it, which had also stopped for the bus’s flashing lights and stop arm, was struck from behind, pushing it into the bus.

Parents in the area reported that no students were injured. Emergency responders, including New York State Police and paramedics who were nearby on an unrelated call, quickly arrived to assist at the scene.

The roadway was temporarily closed while crews managed the incident, but has since reopened.
