Monroe, NY – Three Injured in School Bus and Honda Crash on State Route 208

Two-Vehicle Crash Involving School Bus

Monroe, NY (October 24, 2025) – A two-vehicle collision involving a school bus and a Honda left three adults injured Thursday morning in the town of Monroe, according to the New York State Police.

The crash occurred around 7:45 a.m. on 23rd October, 2025, on State Route 208 southbound, near the Route 17 Exit 130 on-ramp. Preliminary findings show that a 2023 Chevrolet school bus was attempting to make a left-hand turn onto the on-ramp when it collided with a 2013 Honda traveling northbound through the intersection under a green traffic signal.

The school bus, driven by a 65-year-old man from Middletown, had a 61-year-old male passenger and 12 children onboard at the time. A 31-year-old woman from Monroe operated the Honda, police said.

Emergency responders transported all three adults, the two men from the bus and the Honda driver, to Garnet Health Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. Fortunately, none of the children aboard the bus were hurt.

Troopers from the New York State Police Monroe barracks continue to investigate the crash.
