Rochester, NY (September 1, 2025) – A motorcyclist was killed Monday evening in a crash on State Route 209 in the town of Rochester, Ulster County.
The incident occurred at approximately 6:11 p.m., when a 2003 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, operated by Timothy Avery, 58, of Kerhonkson, NY, exited the roadway via the western shoulder and entered a wooded area for reasons still unknown. Avery was pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers from the New York State Police Ellenville barracks responded to the crash and secured the area. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are reviewing the circumstances that led to the crash.
