Sodus, NY (September 18, 2025) – A serious tractor-trailer crash left one man critically injured on State Route 104 in the town of Sodus, Wayne County. The incident occurred around 11:40 a.m., September 15, 2025, when a 2018 Kenworth tractor-trailer overturned onto its passenger side in a ditch along the south shoulder of the roadway.
The driver and sole occupant, Timothy J. Zrebiec, 45, of Manlius, NY, was partially ejected and found unconscious at the scene. Emergency responders from Wayne County EMS and the Wallington Fire Department provided immediate medical care. Zrebiec was transported by ambulance to Williamson Airport and airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, where he was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit in critical condition.
Authorities from the New York State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit, the Department of Transportation, and the Department of Environmental Conservation responded to the scene. A minor fuel leak was contained and reported under DEC Spill #2505502.
Route 104 remained closed for several hours while the crash scene was investigated and cleared. Investigators continue to examine the cause of the rollover, with no indications of alcohol or drug involvement at this time.
