Washington County, PA – Two Killed, One Seriously Injured in Head-On Crash on I-70

Washington County, PA (November 7, 2025) – Two people have died and a third sustained serious injuries following a head-on collision on Interstate 70 in Washington County on Friday afternoon.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police, the incident occurred around 3:00 p.m. near the Claysville exit, which caused a closure of the interstate for several hours. The eastbound Hyundai sedan was reported to have crossed over the grass median into oncoming traffic, where it collided head-on with a westbound Ford SUV.

Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene by responding emergency medical personnel. The passenger in the SUV was transported to a hospital with serious injuries.

At this time, the identities of the two deceased victims have not been released, as authorities are waiting to notify their families. State Police collision analysis and forensic specialists are continuing to investigate the crash.
