Victims Identified in Three Vehicle Crash

Authorities have identified the two victims in the fatal crash in Buffalo Township that occurred on November 1, 2025. Bonnie Grove, 78, was pronounced dead at the scene, while Douglas Frosch, 72, succumbed to his injuries several hours later after being airlifted to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. Both victims were residents of Butler County.

Buffalo Township, PA (November 1, 2025) – A three-vehicle crash in Buffalo Township claimed the lives of two people and left two others injured on Saturday afternoon, according to Police Chief Tim Derringer.

The accident occurred around 2:50 p.m. at the intersection of South Pike (Route 356) and Younkins Road. Police said the crash involved a car and two SUVs. Emergency crews responded to the scene and closed the roadway for several hours while assisting victims and investigating the cause.

As of 6:30 p.m., both South Pike and Younkins Road remained closed, and officials expected the shutdown to continue into the evening. A state police crash reconstruction team was called to the scene to assist with the investigation.

Authorities have not yet released the names of the victims pending family notification.
