Shandaken, NY (October 5, 2025) – A serious motor vehicle collision involving three vehicles occurred Saturday afternoon, 4th October, 2025, on State Route 28 in the town of Shandaken, Ulster County.
Emergency responders from the New York State Police Kingston barracks, along with local EMS, arrived at the scene promptly. Two individuals sustained serious injuries and were airlifted to Albany Medical Center for urgent treatment.
As a result of the crash, both Route 28 and Route 212 were closed in the immediate area. Detours have been established, and motorists are advised to seek alternate routes and expect delays.
The cause of the collision is currently under investigation. Authorities continue to gather information from the scene, and updates will be provided as more details become available.
