Manlius, NY (September 9, 2025) – A driver was charged after leaving the scene of a two-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon on Green Lakes Road and Genesee Turnpike (Rt. 5), which left one driver injured and caused damage to a residential fence.
The incident occurred at approximately 2:27 p.m. on 7th September, 2025, when a Ford Mustang struck a Honda CRV before hitting a fence at a neighboring home. The CRV’s driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was treated on scene before being transported to Upstate University Hospital for further evaluation.
Police later located the Mustang and its driver, Jhonatan D. Cajilema-Cacuango, on Kirkville Road North, over six miles from the crash site. The Mustang’s front end was badly damaged following the collision.
Cajilema-Cacuango was cited for leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, unlicensed operation, moving from lane unsafely, and unreasonable speed. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
