East Patchogue, NY – Raymond Gotta-81-Killed After Crashing Into Tree Near Sunrise Highway

East Patchogue, NY (September 27, 2025) – An 81-year-old man was killed on Friday morning, 26th September, 2025, in East Patchogue when his car crashed into a tree near the Sunrise Highway Service Road.

Raymond Gotta, of East Patchogue, was driving a 2018 Hyundai Elantra eastbound when the vehicle veered off the road near Hospital Road and struck a tree, according to Suffolk County Police.

Gotta was transported to NYU Langone Hospital–Suffolk, where he was later pronounced dead.

Authorities are continuing their investigation into the cause of the crash, and no further details have been released at this time.
