On January 16, 2019, the client was working, delivering packages for FedEx Express.
The client was 58 years old when he was delivering packages to the side doors, where there was an overhang with snow on it. The snow fell off this overhang 20-25 feet onto the package the client was holding. Client reported the accident to his employer and the business he was delivering packages to. Client went to the ER and Orthopedics. After an MRI, the client was diagnosed with a torn rotator cuff and bicep.
Client had shoulder surgery in December 2019. The client called us on 01/30/2019.
Client did not return to work after the accident and started collecting SSD in 2021. We repped client for PI and WC. After several depositions and motions, we settled his case in 2026.
