Understanding Wrongful Death and Uninsured Motorist Claims After a Fatal Hit-and-Run

A hit-and-run resulting in death constitutes a severe crime in Pennsylvania, classified as a Felony of the Second Degree, punishable by a mandatory minimum of three years in prison and a fine of at least $2,500. However, the deceased victim’s family must also navigate a complex civil claim to recover damages.
