Bronx, NY – Driver Dead, Four Injured in Three-Vehicle Crash Near Hunts Point

Three-Vehicle Crash Near Hunts Point

Hunts Point, Bronx, N.Y. (December 5, 2025) – One person was killed, and four others were injured in a tragic multi-vehicle crash involving two commercial trucks and a car on the Bruckner Boulevard service road near the Hunts Point Market early Friday morning.

The collision occurred just before 4:40 a.m. when a white Acura sedan, traveling eastbound, struck both a tractor-trailer and a separate truck before spinning out of control. The female driver of the sedan was extricated from the crushed car and rushed to the hospital, where she died from her injuries.

A 26-year-old female passenger in the rear was transported to Lincoln Hospital in critical condition. The 29-year-old front passenger sustained stable injuries, as did the 29-year-old tractor-trailer driver and the 26-year-old box truck driver. The crash closed eastbound Bruckner Boulevard as police investigated and crews cleaned up leaking fuel from the 13-wheel tractor-trailer.

The female driver’s name is being withheld pending family notification, and a police investigation into the cause of the crash is underway.

Understanding Liability After a Fatal Multi-Truck Crash in New York

Accidents involving commercial vehicles, especially when a fatality occurs, trigger a complex legal analysis under New York law, specifically concerning negligence, trucking regulations, and shared fault. In this case, the family of the deceased driver may pursue a Wrongful Death claim, while the four injured individuals may pursue personal injury claims.
