DWI and Multi-Vehicle Collisions in New York
Under New York law, driving with a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.08% or higher is a criminal offense. DWI-related crashes often result in both criminal penalties for the driver and civil claims from injured parties seeking compensation for medical bills, vehicle damage, and emotional distress.
Even in collisions where no major injuries occur, victims have the right to file an insurance or personal injury claim to recover for damages caused by a negligent or impaired driver.
