Yonkers, NY (November 13, 2025) – An off-duty Yonkers Police officer was hospitalized Thursday night after being struck by a vehicle near the intersection of Tuckahoe Road and East Grassy Sprain Road, according to Yonkers Police.
The crash occurred shortly after 9:00 p.m. and involved one vehicle and one pedestrian. Officials confirmed that the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Police said the incident is being treated strictly as an accident with no criminal elements suspected.
The off-duty officer was transported to a nearby hospital, where he is listed in stable condition. No on-duty officers were involved in the incident.
The investigation remains active as authorities work to determine the circumstances leading up to the collision.
