Question: Joe, when we talk about “Joe Knows” you have a varied background. You have degrees in geology and you’ve studied medicine. You really do know a great deal and yet you chose law. Lawyers are not exactly the most loved breed of folks. You go and you love what you do every day because you have purpose. Talk a little about that. Why did you choose law over everything else?
Joe: It’s one of those things, when you are young and foolish you really don’t have, at least I didn’t have a good idea of what I was suited for. I came into the law business, using it I thought, to actually be an advocate for the environment. Then I found out that helping people was much more important than helping the environment. So I ended up doing what I’ve been doing for 30 some odd years and it’s proved to be a good choice. I enjoy it most of the time. I hope that my clients are happy with what we do because we try to do the very best for them.
